Any Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Brides out there?

Recommended Posts

The person to contact for booking a la cartes is: prexecutivebpjam@bahia-principe.com.  Any guest can pre-book if they choose.  It is free, as you get 3 a la cartes included in your vacation.  As I'm the one booking the Welcome and Rehearsal Dinners in my name, my guests still have their 3 to book in advance or once they get there (you do not need to provide guest names, only numbers).  You can only book your dinners 1 month in advance.  If you write earlier, they will ask you to resend closer to the date.  Hope that helps!

How expensive is it?  We got 2010 pricing for our wedding as we first contacted him in Dec, 2010.

@ JayKay he sent his 2012 price list....the basic package (preparation-reception) is $1600 and 'trash the dress' is an additional $350. He did not mention giving me 2011 prices, although I contacted him this year. He said he will send the 2012 price list and I can check back in 2012 for the 2013 price list. I guess with popularity, the prices soar!!

here is the link to our pictures done by Merrick Cousley. We thought he was great and his prices were pretty reasonable. I've never heard of the guy that you're talking about and I did the same as jaykay. I researched about 8 before I settled on Merrick. He was absolutely wonderful to deal with and really worked hard to get our pictures to us in time for us to do a slideshow for our AHR.

I tried searching Alain Hottat on this forum and found nothing. I'm very skeptical, and definitely won't even think about using his services.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
