Thanks for the reviews - after reading some pretty nasty ones on here a few months ago, it was nice to hear you both had such positive experiences! Ashley 490 and I only have 76 sleeps until we leave (we get there the same day, and get married the same day and live about 6 hours away from eachother and met on here! - small world!) Anyways, we're getting beyond excited and after reading your reviews and seeing your pics I absolutely cannot wait for January!!!

Congrats again!

I am planning on printing them all out and taking them with me.  That way if they try to tell me something thats different from what I have in my emails, I will have the proof.

Lovely reading the recent reviews- you ladies look gorgeous and so happy. We leave for JA on Saturday and get wed next Thursday. We are so excited!! I can't sleep for excitement- it's insane.

I was wondering whether you ladies printed out the correspondence between you and the resort? I am super paranoid that I will get there and prices or packages will be different. I know I am probably just being a bridezilla control freak but maybe better to be safe than sorry? Did any of you print out all the emails or did you find that Chandlyn already had everything printed or on file?

Thanks

Ams and Trev

We had a quick shower the day of our wedding that lasted about 10 minutes and that was it. It was hot and sunny and great! The gazebo was really windy on our wedding day, but it helped to cool things a little. The rainy season is generally October so you shouldn't have any major problems.

Can't wait to hear your review! Best of luck!!

I found Chandlyn to be one of the most concientious people I think I've ever met. She is calm, cool and collected and very, very professional! I had a wack load of paper I took with me and didn't a single page of it except our NOTARIZED birth certs and divorce papers and our music. Other than that she had a file folder that had everything in it, along with hand written notes that she had made. I honestly wouldn't worry, but if you're like me you'll take all the paperwork with you anyway! lol

Best of luck and enjoy your day!! It will be done and over before you know it!!!!

it will all go just fine. relax and ENJOY!!!!!  easy for me to say now lol  but truthfully, I stressed about a lot of things for nothing and it was a wonderful day. things will fall into place and don't sweat the small details. remember - we're all going/went to jamaica to get away from all the stress of a wedding. this is supposed to be fun and relaxing!  and it will be if you let it!!!

Three weeks today, is it just me or did some of you brides get sappy or emotional when slow songs came on the radio. I heard that song Love story by Tyler Swift yesterday and almost balled my eyes out in the car. What the heck is wrong with me. Last night I had a nightmare that I had no hair or nail appointments and it was an hour before the wedding and i was freaking out that I looked the same as always. Hmmm maybe a little nervous now that it's actually coming soon. Sometimes when I think about the wedding my heart races it's nothing to do with the Fiance totally fine with him have been for 10 years I think it's beacause I have wiated so long to get married and now it's actually happening.

Hi Ladies!

I noticed some of you had made pre-travel brochures for your guests.  I was thinking about making some of these but I don't know where to start.  If any of you have any suggestions on what to write/include or if you'd be willing to let me use your's as a template I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks :)

Here is the one I made.  Originally I had made one on vistaprint, but when I receieved them in the mail they looked aweful- the writing and colors were all smudged.  Also, they didn't arrive in time.  They refunded me all my money.  Instead of re ordering from there, I just created my own on microsoft word.  They dont look as professional as vistaprint ones, but I didn't want to wait another 21 days for them to reship them to me.  I used cupcakes template and tweaked it to make it my own.

I did take my paperwork, which ended up getting us in the Club Golden room because it was documented that we would have an upgraded room, not floor.  Other than the notarized birth cert and passport, Chandlyn had everything else.  She took notes and the meeting with her went really well.  I can't speak for Donnalee.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
