Any Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Brides out there?

Recommended Posts

Angela,

thanks for emailing me the packages.

Just to clarify for other brides, the packages that Angela emailed me are the same packages for 2012 that have been around for awhile, so don't panic, nothing has changed!

Hi Tekeya,

I was wondering if it would be possible for you to email me the menu for the Grill and the Dolce Restaurants as I am not able to view your attachment!?

I would greatly appreciate it!

I am getting married at the Gran Bahia on March 13th 2012!!

Congrats to you and your Husband!

If you have any other information (flower site, decoration info, packages, etc) I would greatly appreciate it! I don't want to bother the wedding planners yet as it is still early and would prefer to stay on their good side!!!!

[email protected]

Thanks!!

Laura

Any info welcome!

Most of the stuff I had to bring was mostly for the welcome bags.  I did bring freeze dried rose petals, chair signs, candles, frames for the table numbers, sashes, etc.

FYI, do not take plastic water guns for the kids ;-)  Customs did check our bags, and those were the things that they tossed out ;-(

The only decor the resort does (without a charge) is white tulle and chair covers at Gazebo, tea light candles and white tablecloths at dinner, and also the menu cards.  Everything else comes with a price.   I wanted to do this vase idea with the color lights but didn't want to travel with vase.  The price to rent them are $15 a piece.  So I went with a candle and rose petal design instead ;-)

Here is something you ladies might be interested in! When you privatize a restaurant they only serve beer, wine, soda and juice for dinner only 2hrs! After that you can request free of charge that they keep the beer, wine, soda and juice for an additional 2hrs! If you wish to bring in your own hard liquor to avoid the $23 pp for 2hrs open bar fee, you can they do however charge $15 corkage fee per bottle! I'm thinking 4 66 oz'ers are cheaper! Just an idea if anyone is interested! I just got a confirmation email from Chandlyn confirming this!

Hi AngelaandTrevor!

I took 3 bottles of Moscato for our rehearsal and reception dinner and they didn't charge us the corkage fee and happily had it at the table for us when we arrived for the reception.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
