Any Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Brides out there?

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies,

Didn't want to double post, but I uploaded the picture of my dress in the wedding attire section.

Once my friends wedding is over this upcoming weekend. I'll start finally planning all the details for mine Woo Hoo!

Just wanted to say thanks now for all the tips. I'm more like a thread stalked now. LOL

Can anyone provide any insight into the flower situation.

I am currently debating going with the free bouquet - although I'm not a fan of most of the options, purchasing an upgraded bouquet - yet just found out from Tai Floral that the bouquet I want is an additional $100; and making my own bouquet with silk flowers.

At least with the silk bouquet I will have it as a keepsake - and also thought that I could do smaller ones for my BM's.

Any thoughts or suggestions about this would really help! I really don't want to get there and regret not doing something myself or getting stuck with flowers I hate.

Thanks a bunch ladies! cheers.gif

I'm having the same dilemma right now.  I really don't care to much about my flowers but after I seen the free bouqet options I'm not sure if I like any of them.  I guess they would work but honestly most of them are pretty ugly and I don't want them in my pictures.  I think I might just pay the extra to upgrade to a bouqet that I will like.

I agree on the flower front ladies. The free ones from Tai Floa had me:eek: Flowers were ot initially importan to me u when I saw the ones from Jan's I fell in love. Will be getting my bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 4 boutts and corsages for our mums from them. They hav been fab on the communication front too. Tai ignored my email for 2 weeks:mad: We've just 7 weeks to go now. I need to start posting more often!

Hi Jodiann,

I have picked this resort as well by my travel agent won't book our trip there until she gets confirmation back that a wedding date is available. I am there right with you with the nervousness. Im asking people to spend alot of money to come on this trip and am worried about  my decision now. I as well want to thank all the girls for thier posts and stories. Does anyone have any information on how difficult it was to get them to reserve you a wedding date, how long I will be waiting to hear back.

Being in charge of picking a place for all your family and friends to spend their vacation and their money on is a harsh reality to have on your shoulders. undecided.gif I mean its booked for us, and everyone knows this is where its going to be, so I guess now its just working with what we have. But I am def nervous now, not only about the resort but about everything.

Cupcake & Mrs. Johnson, you guys are amazing! The time you have taken to write everything you have for everyone is great, thank you so much! Also both of you looked GORGEOUS on your day, and the wedding itself looked amazing. And all of your pre-wedding planning with bags and decorations and everything else is such a big help. After seeing all of your posts from start to finish, I am nervous! I hope I can pull it off too!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
