Just thought I'd share my recent experience purchasing wedding attire for my fiance, his groomsmen, and our ring bearers online.  We ended up ordering through islandimporter.com  I've heard some really great things about the quality of the clothing from there from previous brides.  The transaction went through very smoothly.  I had emailed them prior to placing my order to see if there was a current promotional code I could use, but instead they said since my order was so much they would give me free shipping  whoohoo! (especially since it's international for me)  Anyway, I'll have to keep you all posted once my order arrives but so far I'd highly recommend ordering through them.

What is everyone else doing for groom/groomsmen attire?

I was told the short was ok but I'm having both the bc and passport notarized just to be safe. plus we're both divorced so decrees both have to be red-sealed so having that done too.

Hi Ladies,

So I have had confirmation from Donnalee that you do require the passports to be notarized as well as the birth certificates. Also to clear up the confusion about the birth certificates, they suggest that you have the long form so that the marriage certificate is complete, if you have the short form your marriage certificate will simply say nil in those areas but this can be considered acceptable.

Hope this helps!

I also got my FI stuff and his groomsmen stuff from Tommy Bahama.  They have really nice stuff and it was really reasonably priced!

We should definately meet up then. Did you decide on your wedding colours yet? I'm still debating. I'm going to start officially planning all the details in Oct. Too busy. I just come online here and there but haven't really had time to read all the threads.

great! I know it's so nice to get the details out of the way. our wedding stuff is nothing now that it's just the 2 of us, but our AHR is what I'm working on now.

I so can't wait to peek at your wedding!! I found out my dress goes free on our flight. doesn't count against weight or baggage at all. so relieved!! hey - if you guys have a minute on the 20th at our time we're hoping to find someone to take quick pics for us with our regular camera. maybe 15 minutes or so. that way we'll at least have something to show when we come home. just one of the little ways it totally SUCKS to be going alone... I just keep telling myself it will all be worth it. it will all be worth it... lol  6 weeks from today!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
