Any Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Brides out there?

Thanks for the info...this documentation stuff seems to be all over the place...I have only gotten our short form BC notarized because Chandyln told me that was acceptable...Where do I get the long forms from...does my FI need one too?? I am from Canada too. Passports need to be done as well? Aren't they already a legal document? Friggers...I don't want any problems either..I appreciate your opinion!! Thanks:)

I've emailed twice to clarify and was told that we need copies of our passport and birth certificate notarized.  She said if they were notarized we did not need to apply for the long form birth certificate.  I have faxed her both of those so far and she said they were acceptable!  Here's hoping they still are when it comes to getting the marriage license!

We got the guys shirts from Island Importer also in the aqua color. They all rented tan suits from Jos A. Banks (not sure if you have them where you are but they are a mens suiting store you can also rent tuxes).. I loved that the shirts also came in kids sizes and we got one for our son to match the grooms.

Just thought I'd share my recent experience purchasing wedding attire for my fiance, his groomsmen, and our ring bearers online.  We ended up ordering through islandimporter.com  I've heard some really great things about the quality of the clothing from there from previous brides.  The transaction went through very smoothly.  I had emailed them prior to placing my order to see if there was a current promotional code I could use, but instead they said since my order was so much they would give me free shipping  whoohoo! (especially since it's international for me)  Anyway, I'll have to keep you all posted once my order arrives but so far I'd highly recommend ordering through them.

What is everyone else doing for groom/groomsmen attire?

I can't wait to read your review!  I'm particularly interested to know if the spa does good makeup or not. I'm not sure if you'll be getting your makeup done there but if you do please let us know your thoughts.  Congrats on your upcoming nuptials!

I really wish they would decided what we really need as everyone gets told something different.  I asked about three times and were told our BC and Passports needed to be notarized.  We went ahead and got the long form one, which you can get online from most provinces, depending where you were born you need to get it from that province, FI was born in Ontario, I was born in Alberta, we could get his online, but not mine.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
