Just got back from our dream wedding in Jamaica... everything went without any problems.  The wedding co-ordinators (both Chandalyn and Donnalee) were amazing and they went above and beyond what we expected.  They did everything we asked them to do and even more.  The resort is amazing.  really big and beautiful.

Here are some pictures.

You looked UHHHHHMAZING!!! Congrats, I am so glad things turned out well. Ok, let me apologize now for the 9 million questions lol.

Where did you eat dinner? Love it?

How long was the walk from the golf cart to the actual gazebo? (It looks super far)

Any advice or something you wish you would have said, done etc.. I'm getting married next weekend 9-10-11 :)

Did you give the dj your music on a cd or ipod for the ceremony?

Hi, yes I do believe you need to bring notarized copies with you...I scanned all of my documents to her a few months ago and when I double checked last week..she told me that I needed the notarized documents. Hope this helps...and congrats!

@cupcake

Thanks, we had a blast, everything went as planned (even better).

We ate at the Dolce Vita (Italian restaurant).  The food was simply the best.  We had the Chicken, which was divine.  The service in the restaurant was the best.  The waitress even sang for us!!!  The only thing about this restaurant that was bad... They have ROACHES!!!  there are no bugs in the whole resort (except for mosquitos), but there are bugs in the Dolce Vita because it is right on the beach.

We did see a few brides have their reception at the main buffett (the Orchard) that way everyone can have what they want to eat (there is quite a huge selection of food).  The Grill is an amazing restaurant.

The walk from the Golf cart to the Gazebo isn't too bad unless you have on super high shoes like i did!  The best part of that is it gives you time to reflect and collect your thoughts, and see your groom waiting for you,

The minister an amazing person, he gives a great sermon, and I suggest doing the sand ceremony.  Truly a nice touch.

We brought an ipod, but at the last moment we changed our minds and just told Chandlyn to let the DJ play wantever he usually does.  We didn't want any problems with the music.  It turned out to be a good decision.  They played the traditional wedding song while i walked down the isle and after the ceremony they played Bob Marley's One Love.

I do recommend having any of your decoration ideas on paper (easier for Chandlyn to decorate as wanted).

I highly recommend not using the resort's photographers as the only photographers.  They don't use proper cameras (they don't consider lighting or anything).

Beach Towels are so hard to get!!! we brought our own.

If you need a great taxi driver to take you places let me know, i will give you his number.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
