Does anyone have any suggestions for the reception dinner? Is there a free a la carte that you choose from ? Or is there a menu that you pay for ? I'm not sure what I need to pick out. Chandlyn also told me that theres a $22 US/ 2 hours per person for open bar.  Thanks

Those are absolutely gorgeous dresses!! I'm sure you would find something that would work for you, even WITH curves, and I love the way you say that!!  I agree with Jaykay - you end up with something you hadn't expected until you actually try them on. I had my eye on one for months before we actually decided on a date and I left it to the last when I went to try dresses on. I tried about 5 others and one stood out that I really loved. Then I tried on my picture dress and even though it made me tear up it was tough to decide which of the 2. I knew I didn't want satin just due to heat and travel and I knew I did want strapless so that did make it simpler and I also knew since I've done this before no white. Relax and HAVE FUN with it!!  It's your wedding girl! You'll find something that will make your heart melt and that you'll look fantastic in. I guarantee it!!!!

omg that's beautiful!!  I love the colour. that's much closer to the colour I wanted for mine, but I settled on ivory, just not as dark as I was hoping for. where is this dress?  it's really gorgeous!!

hey ames - I'm 3 weeks after you, and we did our dresses in March. they said 15 weeks but it came in early so I already have it at home lol  unfortunately, the store where I bought mine DOESN'T store it and I had to bring it home, then I have to take it back in September to do the alterations. I'm ok with that though. it's my incentive to stick to my diet!!!!

thanks so much, the more i think about it, the more i realized that yes i made the right choice.  the colour is called "pearl" so yes it's a slight shade darker than ivory and i too LOVE the colour, i for sure knew that i didnt want white (just not for me).  i got my dress at Couture Threads (a small shop in my hometown - Stratford, Ontario) which funny enough i didn't even know existed until i went to a bridal show in kitchener and they had a booth set up there!  and it was a HUGE bonus i thought that they stored it (free of charge even) until the day of the wedding (or in our case the day we leave!!) with insurance and everything.  it is a MIKAELLA gown, so i'm sure you can find them at most bridal shops.

this was the other dress i was deciding between (and obviously chose the other)

That's my dress and I loved it!!!  I had second thoughts like a lot you mentioned, but once I had it altered I realized it was perfect!

The dresses are all beautiful girls! Ames, def love your choice, the color is beautiful and the dress is so pretty! Dutchie600- I bought a morilee dress and I love it!! Its very. Similar to style 3013 (I think that was it...first pg) and its super flattering bc of the rouching (sp?) And the chiffon should be much cooler for the beach

I bought mine jan '10 (3 mo after we were engaged) and I'm not getting married for another 2 months! But it was the third dress I tried and after trying on a bunch and going back a second time to try more I knew that was the one! So def go with your gut and choose what you love.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
