Any Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Brides out there?

Recommended Posts

I bought some chinese aqua paper lanterns yesterday for the gazebo as I saw for the free package they just wrap white tulle around the posts so I wanted something to make it a little nicer. I bought 4 aqua and 2 white and I am wondering if you all think that will be enough...I dont want it to look too bare but at the same time I dont want it to look tacky...

I also was scratching my head lastnight over who will set up the lanterns at the gazebo and we also have chair ties...further in the restaurant who sets up the centrepieces, I am just curious as I feel the resort should but if they arent I am going to have to ask someone to do it.

I feel as though I am getting more and more worried about the little things as day pass...I am deffinately in need of a drink!! haha

Ironically we just bought coral paper lanterns for the gazebo as well yesterday! We contemplated it back and forth and eventually settled on getting 6!  At least we're on the same train of thought! I was hoping that would be enough to spice it up a little bit without looking like it was just too much!

I was hoping that someone at the resort would be able to hang them...I actually hadn't thought about assigning that as a task for someone.  It should be simple enough to do with some string.  You'll have to keep me posted on how it turns out in the end!

Sleepski,

Here are some pix from our reception. It was just dancing, but we hired the dj and bartenders. Hope it helps!

The view from the gazebo....it was a beautiful night!

ACW,

When we met with Beverly down there she told us that we could pay $20 for the 2hrs and only had to pay for 1/2 the ppl....well not even. We had 59 of us and they charged us for 25...You can only have the gazebo for 2 hrs. (8:30-10:30) because then the dj has to go to the disco and Beverly said they dont want to disturb the other guest with the sound of music...

Italian - little room off to the side of weddings so its a little more intimate...or basically youll be sitting with everyone else if you do rent it for a private dinner.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
