Hey  acw271011 I was able to book the italian restaurant no problem for nov 25th and i booked it through a email not sure why there is a difference in what people are being told.

ehpage - how are you managing being the TA???  I debated about that and my other half now is saying don't even mention prices to anyone or they'll be dropping like flies. he says lets wait a bit and see how the prices go.

tris - did peeps bail cuz of pricing??  that's what I'm worried about too. we have so many experienced travellers - my inlaws to be are million milers with Holland America cruise lines, my sister in law to be is a flight attendant, my sister is a terminal supervisor at Toronto airport, we've travelled a ton of places and always booked "last minute". we went to Cabo Mexico 2 years ago and booked tuesday and flew out saturday. got an all inclusive, one week taxes in $811. the resort cost was $534.  so you can see why when we're quoted $1500 for a one week vacation we know darn well the prices are going to come down.

I was going to wait to sit down with Chandlyn and decide when I got there but then I started thinking that I would be super disapointed if I got there and they didn't have the flowers I wanted.. That's why I am going with real touch.. I will use the flowers they provide for centerpieces and or gazebo deocration.

can you post the email she sent you confirming the 2012 rates for your 2011 wedding? This is unreal....

Chandlyn told me she cannot adjust the rates as they come from her head office, if that is the case how can she offer 1 bride 2011 rates and 1 bride 2012 rates... Something is fishy here.

None of us like to be ripped off, and it's not that i'm saying they're trying to take our money from us however, if they're offering it to 1 then they should have to offer it to all of us..

ugh so frustrating!!!

Here is the email she sent me.. Now, according to the 2011 pricing the judges fees were $400 and starting 2012 the fees drop to $200... so here is what she wrote which states I am getting the new price

I asked Beverly if we could do the free package but she said we would still have to pay judges fees which were $400. I asked her if we could get around the fees since we were already legally married but she never got back to me (I think this is when she resigned.)You may do the free package which now attracts a fee of US200

Here is my bouquet.. I ordered it off Etsy... I didn't want real flowers since I wanted to keep my bouquet after the ceremony and put it on my coffee table back home.. My 4 bridesmaids will have the same bouquet just smaller.

I ordered my dress, wooohoo.. It will be here in June!

Ohhh.. ok there is some confusion here... that $200 is the judges fees.. and yes they have gone down to $200 plus tax.

This doesn't mean you're being offered the 2012 package prices.. I am certain if you asked for the price of one of the packages you have to pay for you would probably get the same rates we have.

Oooops... sorry ladies, I was confused. I thought the judges fees for the free package were $400 until 2012, then they were going down to $200..

I actually had an email from Chandlyn a few weeks ago advising me the Judge fees had changed to $200 plus tax.. This is just a standard thing, nothing to do with the new 2012 fees.

I must email them and appologize right now, I sent them a pretty heated email today.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
