Hey Ladies..

First... Ames I like the 2nd one with the starfish.

Second.. For anyone having issues with the birth certificates and sending stuff... My friend got married at the resort last year and she gave me a great tip! GET MARRIED PRIOR TO YOUR WEDDING!!

You can still have the regular wedding ceremony and reception at the resort, nothing has to change on that end. The only thing that changes is you don't have to send all the paperwork and go through all the hoopla of "if it got there, if it is correct etc etc.

So my fiancee and I got legally married at the courthouse here in VA and we just bring her our marriage license when we arrive in September. No one knows but us (and you guys, haha) and we are still doing a regular ceremony, sand ceremony, exchanging rings etc..

Just a thought to make things a little easier.

Hi Ladies!  I just got the new wedding packages from Chandlyn for 2011.  They are significantly cheaper but I haven't had a chance to compare the differences, either way the most expensive pkg is only $850 now...whoohoo!!  If anyone would like to look at the new packages just send me your email address.

AShley, that is great your price for your package is that cheap. We paid $1350 for our blissful package and we married 2 weeks ago. Im jealoud. Im assuming you are talking about the gran bahia resort. Lol. Just make sure to contact your credit card company if you plan on using it in jamaica. Most companies will put a hold on yer card thinking it was stolen. Plus there is anywhere from a 1-3% fee for every trandaction. Chair ties have to be paid by cash if you choose them for your quests. Do you have a photographer yet? If not cheak out Brian Nejedly. www.briandesign.com. I used him and loved everything about him and his work. Good luck!

Hi Ladies,

I've been looking around the forum for quite a while now. I have found so much great information on this forum and thread. I had been debating for a while with my fiance which resort we wanted to get married at. We finally decided on Gran Bahia Principe (because of this thread and I fell in love with the grazebo!) and are going to the travel agent in the next couple weeks to book our date!!! We have about 60 people we are inviting but hope at max 30 of them accept because it fits better in the packages!! lol

To ashley490, I couldn't help but notice your post, and would greatly appreciate if you could email me or post an attachment of the new package prices and information. My email is exquisite_faith2@hotmail.com.

Thank you all of you ladies for posting information in this thread and if I get any information i will post it here as well.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
