I went with AMA, I went to a whole bunch of travel agents, and got pretty much the same quote everywhere.  Though I did find a package on travelocity and expedia for $100 less.

We are also using AMA.  We found that everywhere we went was pretty much the exact same prices.  We chose AMA as we have used them before for travel and have had no problems.

I am currently living in Edmonton, AB and we have family and friends coming from all over Alberta going to GBP.  I tried AMA at 2 different locations in Edmonton and had the worst service i've ever experienced along with outragous prices.  We are going with itravel2000 - Sue, She got us great rates, everyone is completely happy with her and her prices are quite cheaper to AMA!
I also have a couple family members coming from Newfoundland who booked their flights with flights and booked the hotel separetely and it was also very easy and cheap!

I am from Newfoundland, most of our guests are travelling from here, do you mind if I ask what kind of price your guests got booking the flight and hotel separetley? Some of my guest may have to do that, since our deposits were due a few months ago and some people still have not booked with our agent yet.

I have a weird question that my mom asked me today that I hope someone can answer. Will drinks be served throughout dinner or do we have to pay a bartender during dinner hour for drinks.

I am also wanting to get the bartender for the gazebo now after my mom said that it was a must...lol! I am hoping to strike a deal with Beverly when I am down there as we have 43 people and at $15pp/hour I think it is ridiculous seeing as it is an ALL inclusive resort! A friend at her work went to a wedding in Jamaica and they only had to pay for the bartender for like 2 hours which I think would be more reasonable. Any suggestions??

That is a good question!  I just asked a woman at the office who has been to TONS of all inclusives (I've never been to one) and she said drinks are included at the supper.  You only have to pay the bartender when he's being removed from his regular duties, and just working for you personally for the wedding.

Try haggling, thats your best bet about the bartender. I'm not going to have that, we're just goign to go to the beach party afterwards, its on Tuesdays and I heard its super fun, so thats our plan.  I'm trying to decide if I should change into a cocktail dress, or just a white skirt and shirt, if its on the beach.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
