I thought there was only one wedding per day?  I am starting to see more and more brides say there is a wedding before or after them

I originally thought there was only one wedding per day, but now I am unsure. I wrote Beverly yesterday and asked if there was or if there could be another wedding scheduled on the day I have booked for my wedding, but have not heard back from her yet.

Ya I was under the impression that there was only one a day.... But it's bit always true. One of the reasons I choose it was because it wasn't a "wedding factory" but vie simce, well, learnt otherwise. There will be 2 weddings on our day. I've come to terms with it... But it sucks because the other couple already has booked a bunch of stuff we wanted. Sigh...

Beverly told us they can have up to three weddings per day, but usually prefer to only do one and two if they have to.  We were under the impression there was only one as well, but what can you do!

My understanding is that a day pass to the resort is about $75. If you want guests to come JUST for the ceremony and dinner it is free, but they can't use any of the other amenities.

I also thought that chair covers were included in the wedding package up to how many ppl the package covers, then you pay for extras...i'm gonna have to double check that, cuz the chairs on their own are pretty ugly.

We had some questions about people staying off the resort grounds and coming for the wedding...here is the response I received from Beverly regarding this issue:

Thank you for your below mail.  Please find that in order for any persons who are not staying on property to attend the wedding then there is a day pass fee of USD75.00 per person for the day.  In any event to attend the wedding ceremony ONLY and have dinner ONLY with you, the fee is USD40.00

 Cassierose and missy&eric2011,

Thank you so much about the information about the day passes.  I have been trying to find out something for awhile now and I'm getting info slowly, but surely.  Hope everyone's plans are going as scheduled.  I am soooo behind and wedding is in August 2011.  My FI remains very relaxed, but stressing about everything.  At some point will smile after work, school and wedding plans are not stressful. Thanks again.

Hey Ladies,

There was another wedding the day I got married, but I honestly wouldnt haven known. Beverly was fabulous and totally seemed to know who I was and completely focus on me. She even came in towards the end of my dinner to check up on everything and to let me know the gazebo was ready for me. I only paid $500 for the gazebo and that included the dj. I had to pay extra for the bartenders, but she charged me for half the group since its a per person thing.

As for day passes we had two people come in who were staying off the resort. They went to the desk, got there wrist bands and then waited for almost 15 mins and still werent asked to pay, so they casually walked away...lol...I believe that the passes were somewhere in the $75-$80 range....but I can't seem to find the email that had that info....

Hope that helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
