Any Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Brides out there?

About the menu... can you switch stuff around? I was looking at it and it seems like every menu has a few things I like and a few that I wouldn't really care for.

I guess they'll be changing it a bit for 2011 anyway though, right?

I emailed her like 3 weeks ago and this was one of the questions (menu stuff), she emailed me the day after saying "Thanks, I'll answer these questions for you tomorrow" ... nothing since then. I know she's busy but it gets super frustrating... I want to start on all my stationary stuff (programs, menus, etc) soon because I know it's going to take me a while to do them up to my own personal standards. It's really tough designing stuff for your self when you're a graphic designer... nothing ever satisfies me! Haha.

On a more fun note, we went and did our gift registry today!

I am sure you can email the spa before you get there...or email Beverly too. I think with most packages too you get a free hair trail so you might be able to book that at the same time.

I finally heard back from Beverly and she answered some of my questions...  I also asked her to confirm my wedding date and time as she hasn't charged my credit card with my deposit yet, and she wrote back saying I was confirmed for April 4, when I booked it April 5!!!  I almost had a heart attack, but then she wrote back right away saying it was a typo, and I was booked for April 5 - whew!!!  We have some guests flying in late on the 4th, so that would not have been good!

Anyway - to share my info - she sent me the current menu choices, but warned that it is subject to change.  Here's a copy for anyone that wants an idea of what may be available:

Finally got a reply from Beverly reconfirming my wedding date and time.. My god I hadn't heard from her in months and was starting to worry! I'm confirmed April 26th, 2011 at 4:30pm

I've stayed at this property just this past May if anyone has any questions.

I do know that the construction on the new wing of the hotel is still going on.. hope this doesn't cause any major problems!

Also, if anyone was interested (from Canada) in travel rates please feel free to contact me. I am a travel agent and have booked MANY destination weddings.. including my own!! I can't wait!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
