Any Gran Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Brides out there?

Recommended Posts

I know Kerrij said somewhere on here that they brought their own photographer and also used the resorts photog for the 10 free pics in their package. I remember reading that she wasn't impressesed with him. Also the prices for photographer are all in the wedding package Beverly sent to me. I. I know the wedding package has been posted on here before and I'm on my iPad and it's saved on my home comp, so I can't post it right now. Try searching for it.

Here are our BM dresses...except my MOH and my FI 2 daughters (JR BM) will be in Fuchsia, with a tangerine ruffle, and our other 4 BM will be in Tangerine with the Fuchsia ruffle.  It is hard to see it in the pic but there is a row of crystals that runs down the bodice and connects to the ruffles...when my bonus daughters tried them on Friday...the crystals were sparkling just from the lights in the kitchen!  Can't wait to see how gorgeous they are going to be in the Jamaican sunlight!!!  I am very happy with how they turned out! Especially for never seeing them in person!!!  :)

We are also flying with Transat and you have a choice b/t regular and Royal Golden and its about a $100 price difference. We gave all of our guests the option and so far everyone is going with golden and we have about 25 booked right now.

Someone said here too - maybe Kerri that if you bring your own photographer you can talk to Beverly and maybe get something else in return - ie free flowers for a BM so I am deff going to try this and Ill let you know how it goes!

I was also looking and there was nothing I saw that I liked. Someone else on here said Tai flora was really expensive so I did some investigating and found an amazing flower shop - however I just found out its in Negril!!!  :( way too far away. What is everyone else doing for flowers now as I am a bit lost...

I just heard back from Bev and she showed me the flowers included in the wedding package.  I'm glad I saw them now because I hate them and am going to order my flowers from a cheaper florist off site.  I want pink flowers, not red and yellow!!!

We booked about a year in advance but we had to go a specific week as I am in between semesters for school and we wanted to give our guests lots of time to save the money.

I have no idea what we are going to do other than I am for sure having silk flowers for everyone who is having/carrying/wearing flowers.  Beyond that...I have no idea as far as the decorations.  I do want flowers on the gazebo, but if the money in the package will go farther with another company...I def. want to explore that option!

Who was in charge of playing the music for this part?  Did you have them on a CD/Ipod....what did they have set up for you?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
