Hi soon to be Mrs Dow,

I'm glad you were able to see the pics..Thanks!  Guess I downloaded them right!! lol!  I think they do always do the cake, and everything right after, but I'm sure if you wanted it different that wouldn't be a prob!

I haven't even thought about bringing down decorations!  Are you bringing down a cake topper too?!  I already planned to bring down the jars for the sand ceremony...geez...I am going to end up bringing everything but the kitchen sink!!!!

I have read other comments from ladies on the site that Tia is Waaaay more expensive than the other vendors in the area.  My quote was originally for $3000 and I thought that was ridiculous; not to mention they were very unfriendly to deal with!  But I think that price is even worse when it's impossible to take them home and enjoy them after the wedding!  I think I am going to do some checking and see who else is in that area as a vendor.

sorry...I sound negative...Refresh....Wedding...In Jamaica....Okay...I'm better!  smile43.gif

You can try checking out floral fantasies for your flowers. I read about them in another post somewhere on here, but I think they were much cheaper than tai. Try searching for a tai floral thread that might be where I saw it. If I find it I'll post it cuz I think there was more than one vendor in that area.

Also I know their are tons of sellers on etsy that make real touch bouquets and bouts. I saw a cute idea for a bout that was peacock feathers (depends on your wedding colours I guess). I also thought the starfish bouts were cute.

I bought a TTD dress from le chateau for $20 lol. Not what I would want to walk down the aisle in, but if I'm rolling around in the sand It will work. It's long, and white, see through satin. eek! Might need to get a slip or liner sewn into it.

That's a great idea to do the TTD the day of your hair trial (if you aren't wearing the dress later on). I'm still torn about changing for the reception. If I do it will definitely be into another white dress. At my friends DW she just changed into a random sun dress and didn't look like I bride at all anymore. I wanna be treated like a bride as long as possible lol.

We just bought fi's suit from tip top tailors. It's a tan Calvin Klein and on sale! Also La Chareau has some nice summery mens stuff. Good luck!

Agreed, great idea on the hair trial.  I dont know if I want a TTD pics yet, I still need to find a cheap dress for them if I do!

I want to be treated like a bride as long as possible too, hahaha, which is why I'm still contemplating to get a second.  I could get a white cocktail type dress, there is a super cute one at BCBG I've been dreaming about for a while, but Im very indecisive!

And then I read down more and had more to say, hahahaha.  Tiptop is agreat place for suits, I still dont' know if I want my FI to have a suit jacket, or just pants and a shirt.  I guess I need to try them on him to see.  And I tried Le Chateau but he said he woudln't go in there, hahahahaa, so I'll try tiptop I guess!   They do have a really nice Calvin Kline line, so I think we'll try that out.

I don't know how "trashed" the dress gets after, but figure I better play it safe and do it the day after...hopefully it doesn't get too "trashed" partying either!  But I totally want to be a bride as long as possible too and I want more than the people down there with us to take note of it!  woot.gif

We got really nice linen suits for the guys at Herbergers...the pants were $30 and the jackets were $98; my FI, his dad and my dad are wearing jackets and the rest of the guys are not; as of yet, we still have to find some nice white shirts though.  We still have to find my FI TTD outfit, too though!  hehehehe  For you ladies doing a TTD shoot, what is your FI wearing??  (Eric can't wear his suit b/c we are having an AHR that he will be wearing it again for.)

Same boat as you, but with everyone except me! lol. We're only having a best man so him and my fi are planning to start looking in sept...and my bridesmaids have been looking for over 2 months and we can't find anything...hopefully they all find something soon! lol

For those of you not being able to see the pics, i had to click on them to download them because they wouldn't load so maybe try that!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
