Ceterpiece help please!

Recommended Posts

Well, unfortunately, I have to take back my offer sad.gif NOT because I wouldn't do it for you if you wanted in a heart beat, but because I found a way to get all my vases for free which means, the company I'm borrowing them from wants them back sad.gif

I wish you the best in your centerpiece adventure!

I will be selling lots of things when I get back, so keep an eye out for the thread :)

My mom is the sales and marketing director for a large steakhouse in this area. She has a budget every year for Christmas decorations, so she told me she would just buy the vases I want for the reception for her decorations and then I could just use them for the wedding! So I don't have to pay for them! Nice!
they are 20" tall vases from Michaels, but they are fairly thin glass so they aren't too expensive. We will either ship them down to the resort beforehand or we will pack them in bubble wrap and put them all in a suitcase. There are only 5 of them.
I'm thinking I might be shipping these along with my towels down there because they are the biggest pains to get down there.

So, I have now been informed they have "green lemons" in Mexico. I said, "You mean LIMES!huh.gif" Arrrgghhhh. My whole color scheme for the reception is based on yellow, so now I've gotta find fake lemons and take those down with me too. So annoying.

I wouldn't ship anything to Mexico. I've heard horror stories and for as much money as you are spending on stuff, I would feel safer taking it in a suitcase.

cool!

Ya, I was always planning on bringing them down in my suitcase. I'm just too nervous that they will get confiscated by customs or something will go wrong. So, unless my mom finds a surefire way to ship them, we will be taking them down there in the suitcases! They are a pretty light weight though, so it's not too bad and I only have five.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
