I also met a Dominican man when I went on my trip to Puerto Plata a few months ago and fell madly in love. However, a lot of my friends are warning me that it may be a scam to come to Canada.
I really hope you don't mind me asking.....but I was wondering if everything has gone well since your wedding. This would be very encouaging fro me to hear. My guy sounds just so so sincere so it would be helpful to know that a marriage to a Dominican man can work and is genuine.

I noticed several women have gotten married to Dominicen men who they met in DR. I also met a Dominican man when I went on my trip to Puerto Plata a few months ago and fell madly in love. However, a lot of my friends are warning me that it may be a scam to come to Canada.
I was just curious if anyone would like to share their thoughts with me on this. I hope those of you that have married, that everything is still going well. It will be encouraging (or discouraging) to me to hear some comments on this....My guy sounds just so so sincere so it would be helpful to know that a marriage to a Dominican man can work and is genuine.

Bumping the thread in case there are "others" out there Would love to hear from you!
http://www.michaelsteingard.comMichael and Phil Steingard are located in Ontario, but travel to Punta Cana quite often during the year. There is a good chance they will be down already during your wedding week, so this will cut travel costs

I just got back from DR and completely fell in love!!! I saw some comments on here about getting him a visitor visa. I have never been in this situation and wonder what this is and what are the steps to get him here to Canada permanently? Also, any of you that have your man still living there, is there a phone calling card or company that you use for the best rate?? I'm going crazy here missing him!!
