Hi Futuremsgoodrich - we're getting married on Feb. 4th at Beaches on the beach at 4:00 - 3 hr reception on the beach too to start at 5:00 p.m. Maybe we will run into each other. (my girlfriend is getting married on Jan. 20th at Beaches so should have a complete run down of Beaches just before we go).

We have 25 including us, only 2 are off resort. We were considering a night at Nick's grill in Negril (cliff diving too). We chose the Martha Stewart wedding and keeping it simple....still trying to decide about if we should have an arbour on the beach or not....

Are you staying for an extra week at the resort for your honeymoon? we'll be going to Sandals Whitehouse for the next week after everyone leaves.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!! Wow! Thats awesome! Feb 4th is the day we arrive- we should meet up for a drink and share stories!- Please share your Beaches knowledge via your friend beforehand :)

I would love to go to Ricks but think the time will probably fly by. We've never been to Jamaica before (been most other places in the Caribbean) ... We are just staying 4 nights (I work in the schools so our honeymoon will be in July- going to Hawaii)...

I love that is all seems to be worry free (past the payment part)... I cant wait to get down there and for the FI and I to be able to have everyone together is priceless!!!!

Yea Beaches!!

We haven't been to Jamaica before either. Last year we scoped out Cuba but since we only saw 16 hours of sunshine, I wasn't too keen on returning....Mexico was another option, but we have 3 sons (13-15, this is wedding 2) and we wanted them to have a really good time.

4 days isn't much time - WOW - I don't think I could do that - how long is your flight from Florida? I will attempt to post the high lights from my friend. Her FI is a textaholic so I"m sure we'll get some info.

I just got ahold of WC last week (after 8 weeks of leaving messages) and sent my papers on Friday. Now I'm feeling much better about the whole process. time will go by for sure...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
