Thank you!

We just soaked the paper 6 sheets at a time on a cookie sheet with tea - I used an earl grey, I think. We soaked it for about 30 mins or so. Then we drained the excess tea from the cookie sheet, and put the paper on the cookie sheets in the oven until it was dry.

I found the boxes (they are 12" by 4" by 4") at a store called Pritchard Packaging here in Ottawa.. But you can order that size on ebay - if you live in the states. They wouldn't ship to Canada, or the cost of shipping was RIDICULOUS.

We soaked the bottles in hot water for a while to loosen the labels, then just peeled them off. We then washed the bottles with a little soap an hot water and a scrubby pad to get the extra residue off.

I will warn you - unless you can hand-deliver them, they aren't practical to mail if there is a lot of them. They are very expensive to mail. The sand craft site that someone else has posted on here has much less expensive versions to mail. Although they are slightly smaller.

Hope this helps!

The twine that is tied around the bottle actually is tied to the message inside as well - so no problems pulling the message out.

Those are amazing!!!! If I received one in the mail I would definitely be excited to see what other great ideas you have planned for the wedding! I may have to find my inner DIY and see if I can put something similar together ... my FI is going to be horrified when he sees what I am thinking... may have to employ my MOH to help!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
