Hi,

I still cannot understand why the flowers are so expensive.

I have looked at the list of bouquets Maribel sent me. A full peony bouquet is only $180. Cymbidium orchid bouquet is $150 and Cala lillies are only $110. Now if you are only needing a couple of each of those flowers I cannot see how you came up with that price. Does that mean it's the fushia lillies that are the reason for the ridiculous price?

Regards,

Angela.
Maybe what you should do is get all of the bouquets that you want and rip them apart yourself and then you can also make the bridesmaid's flowers too and it would save you all that money!

I too am shocked at the prices of the flowers. I really begrudge paying 130 USD for a bridesmaid bouquet that will be thrown in the bin at the end. Can someone recommend a silk/real touch web page that ships to the UK? There are loads of sites but I would really like to get the opinion of someone that used one. thanks for your help :)

Angela, how many bridesmaids do you have? I think you said a while back that that price includes all your bouquets, is that right? If you have several bridesmaids, that might be right...that's why I didn't get flowers for my bridesmaids - I gave them parasols instead.

I had pink peonies, orange roses, and white daisies in my bouquet - it was about 140 to 150. She did need me to definitely confirm about 2 weeks in advance for the peonies - they did ship them in from another country.

Hi,

I have 2 bridesmaids and that price I was quoted was just for my bouquet. I am dealing with my WC again now so she has contacted the florist and is going to get back to me. Soon I hope :)

Wow that is a ridiculous price! And this is why I decided to bring my own bouquet. I didn't get real touch flowers but a really high quality silk and I'm paying $140 for my bouquet and 4 bouts and that included shipping. Luckily I don't have bridesmaids to buy bouquets for either. As much as I love flowers and think they are important it amazes me how pricey they are and it's hard to justify the cost. I hope your WC can work with you and get you a better price.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
