I am a flight attendant. And i assure you, it is almost NEVER this exciting! Met Elvis Costello earlier on in the week. The only reason is was so star-studded was because they had some sort of film/TV festival in Banff this week and everyone was flying home to LA!

I actually wish I could have gone for drinks though! I was so ticked. How many ended up going??

Hey Ladies,

I am so sad you all were unable to come last night, but that is okay...because we decided we would like to try and get together on a monthly basis! There ended up being three of us - Sandy, Erin and myself...it was very fun especially because we are all getting married in Punta Cana, so we were able to chat about our different venues and give each other ideas about prices, colours and I even learned all about Pastor York!!! Erin is about to start making her save the dates, so I am pumped to see how they turn out next time we meet.

I hope you all have an amazing weekend and lets hope for nice weather! I am dying to go rafting down the Bow River, so I am hoping it is in the cards for this weekend.

Great idea Natalie! Maybe we should keep it simple like first or last thursday of the month. Then we all know and whoever can make it, can!

Might be a while before it's rafting on the bow weather Natalie. If you can believe it, in all my years here, I've never done that! Sounds fun though. PS... time to change your location. You're a calgarian now girl!

HAHA, you are right, I do need to update that! I will get right on it :)
There were a bunch of rafts on the river last week, so I think as long as it is hot enough out we are good to go, however I do need to look more into it, as I really have no idea what I am doing and I can picture me and FI going overboard!

I think the last Thursday of each month sounds like a great plan. That means that the next meeting for July will be...July 29th, 6PM at Melrose!!! I hope we can get a good turnout this time :)

Floating down the river is EASY girls!! HAha! First - park a car somewhere around Edworthy Park (short float) or Prince's Island Park(slightly longer float). Second, hop in another car and drive up to Bowness Park - arrive early for parking spaces. Third, have a quick bbq of hotdogs. Fourth, pump up the boats and jump in!! Make sure you're well equipped with a paddle, a life jacket and some drinks (alcoholic or otherwise). Finally, ENJOY! And as an added bonus if you happen to have squirt guns and water guns with you, it's that much more fun!!!

Oh I really hope you get out rafting this weekend Natalie! It's one of my favourite things to do out here. We just came in from reading in the park...it's so hot out there!! Fingers crossed it stays around!

Thursday night was really fun - I think it would be great to meet monthly and bring whatever we're planning along to show everyone (pics of your dress, BM dresses, colours, whatever!)

Hope to see more of your at the end of July! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
