I can't believe how jealous I am of you party animals and nearly-weds!!! But so happy for you all too of course. Sounds like Cara and Kayley are ready to go!!! WOOT (I'm really excited for you both)

Meghan- Thanks for the info! I think I will take my dress in to Valiant this weekend actually and get a quote. There is no beading or crazy layers or anything so it shouldn't be too much. AND its short! Thats why I can't justify $265! I love my drycleaners in Cochrane but really.... 265 for basically a white cocktail dress. Thats hiway robery.

I'm SO not ready yet! I'm officially having a freakout. I finally started making a list of the stuff I want to get done before we go and it was MUCH bigger than I thought it was! FREAKING OUT! Hopefully this weekend is productive!

Hey gals! Sounds like there's another lindsey on the thread. 'e-y'? or 'a-y'? heehee

We're getting married in Mexico but haven't nailed down a resort. We're looking mostly in the Riviera Maya..places like azul beach, cieba del mar, and my wc is pushing barcelo colonial and dreams tulum. It sounds like some of you guys are doing the RM as well.

Linds - nice choice with Cuba. I've backpacked around the island and it definitely holds a special place in my heart. Great music!!

If you guys are doing drinks - I'm in.

Have you guys picked a time and spot? I'm moving into mission this week but am flexible.

Bye4 now -

Lindsey

Welcome Lindz. We're doing RM as well. Dreams Tulum was in the running for our wedding too. We decided it was a little too far from Cancun Airport for our liking. From what I hear, it's worth the drive though! Good Luck picking a place. I was on Trip Advisor for months before we settled on a place!

Haven't picked a time or place for the get together yet but we'll keep you in the loop. Hopefully, we'll get together once it warms up a bit. You know I love patios!

hmmm keithsberg on a patio could sure hit the spot :)

I found that choosing the resort is the most stressful thing (that and the fact that people are slow to book in my case). In all seriousness take a deep breath and once the resort is picked it does get allot easier, lots to do, but easier.

We are splitting our time between Dreams Riviera Cancun (newest Dreams property) and Secrets Maroma (beach voted one of the best in the world). These are the reasons why we chose it, guess just figure out whats most important to you. I have surfed thru Dreams Cancun, Dreams Riviera Cancun, and Dreams Tulum I think these properties, and may other not related resorts are all gorgeous. We all put countless hours in the end funny enough though I am sure you cant really go wrong.

Happy planning!

I totally hear you! I was freaking out for a while there, but managed to tick a few things off my list this week and don't have TOO much left, just a few things here and there so I can finally start to get excited instead of worrying that I don't have enough time.... :S
What else do you have left to do?

Welcome Lindsey, hope you enjoy your wedding planning. I also found that deciding on the resort was the hardest part. I'm really looking forward to Cuba. We have been to Varadero and Santa Clara, so excited to see Holguin.

Cara and Krama enjoy the last few days before you leave!! Hope your wedding is all that you dreamed of!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
