Add two more to the geologist list! Both FI and I work O&G and it's a dangerous thing! We don't work for the same company though which is probably safer for us! haha. How about the rest of you?

I lost this thread for a while but I'm glad I found it again this morning!

Oh, I don't know about getting together now that some of you might know the FI! I wouldn't want him to find out how addicted I am to this forum!

He thinks I just "check out some pictures" sometimes and "get resort info"

It would be fun to meet though, and Nadine will be all fresh and married with her tan!

I would really like that!! I work downtown, on 8th ave and 5th street.
I'm a technical assistant for the Engineers at our company, hoping to go back to school soon and move up the ladder. I went to Mount Royal for a short course last year, but still not sure what I'd like to move into.

That will be good for you to go back to school once you figure out what you want to do Cara. Are you thinking engineering? Or a technologist? Or switching fields all together? Im actually going back to school in January (the week after I get home from my honeymoon) for my MBA. Will eventually make my way out of engineering I think.

It's funny how much people switch and change their minds! I started out in Social Work, and was barely out of school before I decided that it is not for me. Bartended for quite a while (hard to give up the $!!!!) before getting where I am. Don't want to stay here.

Good for you Nadine for going back to school for your MBA! And Cara, I really don't think you can have too much education. Something, even short courses, always comes in handy!

I had a crazy day and I feel like I missed so much on this thread. Have just finally gotten caught up on BDW and it's time to go to bed.

I love how people switch careers so much now, especially compared to in the past. I love being a lawyer, but sometimes I'll start thinking maybe I should be a chef (could I find two more opposite professions), then I'll go out to the field for a day and start thinking I want to be an engineer. Apparently I'm just plain indecisive!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
