I found Pronovias gowns beautiful.......how long did they tell you for ordering?
They told me 4-6 months ( I ordered in August). I'm sure yours will be o-kay. They usually estimate a longer time frame. Eeek though. I will cross my fingers for you!

My sister used a lady in Kensington a few years ago too when Victorian Bride was still open, and she was really good, but we couldn't remember who it was. Maybe it was Lillianas? Does she make veils too, 'cause we had my sister's church length veil made there too for $115. Kris would you know?
Im not too sure ...I know she does make alot of stuff though...the full name of the business is Lilliana's knitwear....I'll definately post pics for you guys....this is the part Im terrified of ...eeeek haha

Hey guys,

Just wanted to let you all know of a website i just ran across. They sell sashes for chairs in pretty much every color imaginalble and i think they are located out of Victoria B.C...so shipping won't be a problem + the pricing seems good. They say $0.89/sash...i think thats a pretty good deal.

Anyway heres the website:

I have never bought a BM dress for under $300 (especially when you add in alterations) except for my sister's wedding which we had made. I am doing the same for my wedding. I found fabric at Olga's (on Bow Trail). They have a lot of higher end fabrics and are a big help. The fabric (expensive fabric too) with lining will be $100 per girl, and to get them made is about $100 too. The lady at Olga's is great for dressmaker reccomendations, and I have used one lady in Hawkwood that does not require a pattern. Soooo short answer is $200 total ( I am paying for the fabric though) and that is a custom made for each girl dress.
Going this way worked for us in the past, and is great this time too 'cause I found the exact color that I saw in my head.

Sorry for the long answer. Geez!

Nadine,

I can't believe that you found a dress for $100 with a $4000 budget. I bet that your FI is quite impressed with that steal! Can't wait to see your planning thread....i'm very intrigued.

You are right about the selection at S2.....very limited, but I must say.....excellent service!

I lucked out and found my BM dresses at Le Chateau. I was originally looking at dresses for $200. But these were $70. :) My girls were very happy, and they're a dress that they can wear again after the wedding. Which I really liked. I got some fabric to make a sash for around their waists, and to tie our 2 colors into the dresses. :)

Hello ladies. Congrats to you all!

I too live in Calgary and am going to order some pashminas for all of my women guests. I'm ordering them from Wholesale Pashmina Scarves wholesale pashmina scarves

and I am wondering if any other bride(s) would like to go in on the order. You can order as many or as few as you want and in as many colours as you want. Let me know if you are interested.

Happy planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
