Thanks!

I ordered a set off of EBAY... stamps were cheap, shipping was not LOL!!!

Hopefully they won't take too long to get here with the holidays :)

Shipping is my ultimate enemy haha, which is too bad because I really like online shopping haha

Totally understand!

Generally I will exhaust my search before I pay unreal shipping prices.

A couple times on this journey I sucked it up - $3 stamps $9 shipping (like really?)

$19 (flat cardboard) vases $25 shipping (even worse!)  Then the Davet Designs labels were a bit pricey for shipping, but when the package comes and the postage on the envelope is what you paid it tends to hurt less. lol.

Yeah that's the thing, the sellers don't usually set up the shipping cost to make money, they just pass on the cost to you (especially when it comes to small businesses like on etsy). it's just so frustrating, especially for us Canadians, we never get in those free shipping deals. Today I wanted to get a cute little Harry potter keychain for my friend for Christmas. The only problem was that the keychain was $12 and the shipping was $30 Bahaha . Are they insane?

It's those instances where you have to think the shipping has a large mark up!! I sent all my pre travel brochures for under $30! I know it wasn't to the USA but size wise I sent a lot more...

Not sure if they have stores anywhere else. I wore a BM dress from their store in Cross Iron but it's since closed. The one in Sunridge has been there eons! It's on the Target end of the mall on the upper level. I think David's are nicer material but everyone has their own styles and opinions, you know?

FYI Girls. I was just at chinook getting my ring cleaned and directly across from

Tiffany is an "Oksana"! I went in quickly and talked to the owner and she said they just opened last week so all their catalogues aren't in yet.. But that it is the same store as Sunridge and they will have a ton of BM dress options.

Just wanted to let you girls know they were there! I never get over to Sunridge so this was perfect!

I just wanted to say that I had my dress done at a seamstress outside of a bridal shop.   It was Perfect Stitches in the Beddington Mall.  She is FABULOUS!! I am soooo impressed with the work she did.

She took my dress out which required a lot of bead work to be duplicated, she did a hem, and a french bustle for $325.

I would highly recommend her.

good to know! I'll probably take my dress for a quote to a bunch of different places, just to see how much I'm looking at in alterations

If any Calgary brides plan on using shells, I have a large unused bag of shells from Michaels.  Shells are medium sized I guess, not tiny and not massive.. I can send pictures. They are free, just would rather someone use them then toss them out.     Also have extra ribbon in orange, fuchsia, and turquoise - some organza like and some smaller regular ribbons (don't have a lot but some)  Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
