Anyone planning on doing a boudoir shoot? If so any recommendations that wouldnt cost an arm and a leg?

Absolutely!

Check out Miss Behave. That is where I went, and let me tell you, it was an AMAZING experience. The girls are so great there. I am super self conscious, but I had so much fun. I would do it again in a second.

It is still a little pricey, but not too too bad, and they have specials pretty frequently, and I actually went using a groupon, so you could ask if they have any of those coming up.

Also, if you do decide to go that route, mention my name (Krysta C.) if you would not mind. :)

I highly recommend them, anyway!

My plan is to do a boudoir shoot. Two of my good friends have used TAIT photographer in Calgary for their boudoir books. It is expensive but the quality of her work is amazing! The way I look at it is, I'll probably never do anything like it again and it'll make a nice gift for the fiancé. I would rather pay a bit more money for a nice quality book and photos than regret not paying enough and have something I never want to look at again.

I'm starting to realize how hard it is to find a good TA in Calgary. The rates I'm getting are terrible. Why would I suggest to my guests to go through one when it would be so much cheaper to pay direct? I have one TA who may be promising and I'm going to check with AMA (thanks for the suggestions girls) to see if they can do better. We are getting married December 2013 - most likely a RIU resort in Playa del Carmen.

Kristie I went to Miss Behave.  It kind of did cost an arm and a leg but I loved the pictures!  The airbrushing makes you look fantastic, haha.  We made it like a girls day - my cousin and 2 friends and I went shopping for outfits then got our makeup done at MAC and our hair done at Blo and went to their studio (which was in a really creepy area downtown lol, but super cute and nice inside) and we ordered pizza and brought wine and had a blast.  Might be a good shower/bachelorette kind of thing.  Of course I think if I could do it again I'd have the girls day but do what Jolene suggested and get a whole CD for waaaay cheaper!  Have fun and good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
