I'm glad to know I'm not the only one frustrated by guests not booking.  Well, not glad to know that the rest of you are having issues too lol, just glad to know I'm not alone.

Its especially frustrating because a lot of people kept asking when we were going to send our TA's contact info for them to book (we were holding off until our wedding date was confirmed at the resort).  I finally sent them the info, thinking they were all itching to book since I kept getting asked... but only 3 people have booked!  Argh!!!

Maybe we can smack around each others guests a little bit lol.

Sandy - isn't Becky great?  I have no idea how she manages to find the rates she does... she's beat every quote we've gotten before we contacted her!

I feel your fustration. Our wedding is less than 8 weeks away and everyone who said they would book has except for my fiances parents. They have been dragging their feet the whole time. The wedding is in Hawaii and they live in Australia so its not like its something you book last minute. My fiance keeps telling me that they always wait to do things last minute and that they will be there but its still fustrating. We got engaged last June and have had the wedding booked since last August. I've been pretty calm and easy going through the whole planning but this issue has brought out a lot of emotions in me.

girls  - sorry for the frustration over your guests booking.  ugh!

we're getting married in cabo san lucas, at the barcelo, on november 15th.  just bought my dress yesterday!  i found a cute one at ethos.  it's not the yellow dressed i dreamed of but it's still unique and i quite like it.  such anxiety buying the dress! i woke this morning w/ a feeling of dread..wondering if i should've checked out more, but i'm sure i'll really like it again when i pick it up on friday.

enjoy the rest of your smoky weekends!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
