That's too funny! I had my stagette on Saturday night also! And we wore identical outfits.. lol. I had a white tank like yours that said "bride to be" and a straw skirt like that too. :) Except I wore jeans under mine because I can't shave since I'm getting my legs waxed this weekend! LOL. But I had a blast, we went to the Roadhouse and Whiskey. Would've been awesome if we bumped into eachother. Hope you had a great night! And that freak storm was ridiculous!!! LOL So much for a tropical theme! :P

Awww those pictures of you KRama are just fun, with the grass skirt and snow - only in Calgary!

You girls mentioned Romantic Planet, one of my good acquaintances Deanna just started working there (she transferred from working at another travel agency) I have now asked her for a quote for our guests travelling from Calgary and Winnipeg will let you know how she compares.

We finally have our invitation mock up done, and if I may so say its gorgeous! We went to Amanda at Glymtz, she is a bit more on the pricier side, but really took the time and the invitations are exactly what we wanted.

Echo- Congrats on your wedding...I'm glad you made the most of it even with the rain and still had a chance to get some beachy pictures! As for your camera...that blows!!! I also had my brand new camera break the first day of our trip so had no camera the entire time. Thank goodness everyone else we were with took TONS of pictures so we still have memories but sometimes it's nice to have pictures in your own perspective...oh well what can you do :)

KRama- love your stagette pics!! It looks like you had a wicked time. My best friend is getting married this summer and were having her stagette soon and I totally need an awesome theme like that for her.

Cara- I hope you had a wicked time at your stagette as well. They are seriously so much fun ...I wish you could have one per year :)

Lindslou- Good luck finding a dress!!!!!

Also Meghan- where did you get that quote for $75.00 I'd be willing to pay that (so far my dress has just been sitting in my closet for 2 months and I definitely went swimming in the ocean with it on haha...I did rinse it in the tub after but still lol )...and do you have a review and pics up yethuh.gif?

The cleaners I took my dress to is Valiant Cleaners and it's on Bow Trail just barely a block away from the Dairy Queen. I've been going there for a while so the owner knows me and she's really wonderful. They do alterations and stuff too. The quote changes though depending on your dress, how much beading or embellishments there are on it. Because the entire bust on my dress is beaded she said they'd be hand washing it and not dry-cleaning! Oh and the $75 doesn't included preservation or anything just so you know. But I would definitely recommend Valiant!! She'll also give you some tips for dress-care if you're not preserving it right away, to help keep it from yellowing or anything like that.

And no, I don't have a review or pics up yet - I'm bad I know! - but I should be getting the link for my pro pics today and I've had a few people send some to me so far. I promise to get something up soon though!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
