Ok you have me laughing out loud at myself like an idiot!! good thing I'm home alone!! I didn't even think of the Farmers Market, and we used to go all the time, not recently, but it looks like time for a trip!
Oh and I was laughing at the propane comment, hehe, such a smart one you are!

Oh and I see your afternoon meeting must be over!

Wow I've missed alot! I hate to hear all the horrible things happening in this thread. My heart breaks for you Christina and Cara. I truly could not imagine going through what you ladies are going through. Puts my problems into perspective....

I came on here ready to vent about my fiance losing his job this morning. He's been off for a week or so, so I have to say I guess I kinda saw it coming. There's not alot of work out there at the moment and he got laid off. booooooo.... enough about that though. He'll get something soon i hope. Menial compared to what others are going though.

Also, the price list for our resort's wedding costs came yesterday. Not a moment too soon either. Seems like we've actually chosen the worlds most expensive hotel to get married at. AND such good timing too!!!! LOL all there's left to do is shake my head and laugh I guess!!!

OH GOD... I almost forgot... LOVING THE OLYMPIC MITTS KRIS!!!!

In all honesty, the olympics have been the sole reason I have been absent for 2 weeks. There must be a name for the disease I developped during the games. For 16 days, I sat in front of the TV, with my laptop on my knees, trying to get the scores and times before the TV. It was a badddddd case LOL

Hey Kris,

I'm pretty sure I remember reading in your review that you have really curly hair, but you got hair extensions before the wedding. Am I right? I'm wondering because I have really curly hair also, and always straighten it, and I'm so unsure what the heck I'm going to do with it for the wedding! If I straighten it there, it'll just become really frizzy due to the humidity.

I'm thinking about getting some extensions but am not sure what to get, or where, or if it's a good idea. So hopefully you can help me out. :)

Thanks,

Cara

Hey Cara

Yup...definitely have curly frizzy hair! I did get extensions. My real hair got pulled back in a side ponytail and hair sprayed and then the extensions got put in and curled. It lasted from 11 am until well after midnight and looked perfect, I would definitely recommend them. I can't remember the brand I got but they came from a hair salon. I got the 18" clip-in's and got them dyed to match my hair 2 weeks before we left. Their pretty expensive, mine were $170 and that was with a hairsylist's discount. (They are real hair too so you can style them etc.) My stylist in Jamaica tried to but them from me because she thought they matched so well haha

Well your hair looks beautiful in your siggy pic, so maybe I will try them out. That was actually a lot cheaper than I thought they'd be. Someone at work told me about $400... and that would be way over what I want to spend, if I could find a good deal I might consider it. I'll see what my hair dresser can do for me. Thank you!! :)

Hey Cara - it was great meeting you the other day! You're poor FI looked so shell-shocked and was probably wondering what the heck he's gotten himself into! LOL! I think we've all seen that face at home at least once or twice :)

P.S. Not sure if you're including or have already bought first aid kits, but I've got extras that are from Dollarama if you're interested. I can't remember how many but I think it's around 20? Let me know and I will double check for you!

Hey!! It was great to meet you & Suzy as well!!!! :) hahah he definitely was shell shocked, he was totally out of his element with all of the wedding talk. :P I teased him after about it. lol.

That's awesome, if you could check for me I would really appreciate it. I might have to buy more though because I will have about 35 OOT bags, depending on how many people come, and how many drop out on the deadline for the full payment... GULP...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
