I would NOT recommend Ethos, Ive never been helped by such rude people; Jennybell, I guess I should have asked for Betty wink.gif I actually ended up buying my dress in Edmonton at Pure Bridal and loved their service and dresses!

Who are you guys using for alterations?? Im booked at this place called Lillianas in Kensington because Ive heard good things about her but Im still scared haha
Who did you end up using for alterations? I'm looking for someone, but its scary handing the dress off not knowing.

Anyone looking for some good OOT bag goodies, I hit the Dollar Giant off MacLeod Trail and Heritage Drive...everything under $1.25...

Some things that caught my eye:

1. Dish wipes (they look like really thick double sided cloths, you just add water and the dish liquid is already there!! Good if you're giving travel mugs 20 per box but I forget if they were $1 or $1.25 per box)

2. Large bottles of Hand Sanitizer, 2 per pack (probably double or triple the amount of the 3 pack at Dollarama) and again can't remember if these were $1 or $1.25...

3. Gel Eye Masks, $1.25 each Good for BM's...

That's all I can think of right now, I should have done a physical list and not a mental list!! lol

What firehall is he at right now? I wonder if the guys have run into each other :)

If you're getting overwhelmed or need some help/direction with your planning just shout - but you've definitely found the best place ever to help you figure everything out!
Echo,

He is down at the Southland station, but it is his first station as he recently got out of recruit school, how long has your BIL been a FF?

I just can't seem to pick a resort/destination. I am pretty set on the Mayan Riviera but my dad and my fiance's mom seem a little leary about Mexico in general. They both say they will be happy with whatever I pick but I am torn. I also have found 2 fairly good photographers around Playa del Carmen that are a reasonable price. That's another big reason I am leaning towards Mexico. I know when it comes down to it, it's my day and ppl will go there to make me happy, but I want to pick the right place for all involved.

Where are you holding yours?

Yah my BIL has only been a FF for about 9 months now so he had his recruit graduation in late spring this past year?? I wonder if your FI knows him!?! Ask about Vandenberg. I know he just switched halls in the last week or two so I can't remember where he's just moved to but his last couple of halls he was in the north end of the city.

If you need some help deciding between resorts, I'm sure there are lots of us here who could throw in our two cents on how we decided lol! Feel free to pm me if you need to! We're really excited to have our wedding at Dreams Puerto Aventuras in a couple months... and all our friends are really looking forward to it as well.

Wow, I'm so behind. Thats what you get for going to work... pfft.

Welcome Jessi! You will become a BDW addict in no time :)

Met with a photographer this morning and I really liked her. Not sure if I should be picking the only one that I've met with but I have a good feeling. She's going to do our engagement pics on the 28th so we'll see how good we clic.

ALSO, fyi 20% off your entire purchase at Michaels this Saturday! I was there today and found these luggage tags I've been looking for then I saw the sale sign. So, I'm embarassed to say I HID the luggage tags amongst the tea lights and I'll go back Saturday to get them. Anything to save a buck! HAHA I'm sure I'll have nightmares all week!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
