Ceremony & Reception @ JellyFish Restaurant?

Recommended Posts

Right now we have a date set at the Majestic Colonial, where we are staying. I have been talking with the WC at the JellyFish and she is amazing! We may have less than 20 people and I think it will be much more intimate there, not to mention I LOVE the look of it. It just *feels* more like what I wanted too. We haven't deposited yet, but are 95% that we are moving our wedding there.

I have seen 2 other posts about brides that have been married there, and checked out Debbie's etc.

Just curious if anyone has heard of anything, or if anyone else is planning their wedding there too. We plan to do the ceremony and reception there.

Would love to hear feedback! Thanks!

We held our ceremony and our reception at the Jellyfish and it was the best decision we have made. Mayte is amazing and very talented. (Her staff is too)And the space is very unique and memorable! I'm working on my planning thread now but i'm available to answer any specific questions.

We had 55 guests, exclusive use of restaurant for the ceremony/reception during the reception we had a cigar roller, merengue band and a fire show!

Will add a picture shortly.

Beautiful!

Im happy to see this thread. Right now we have confirmed our reception as Jellyfish; however I am strongly considering moving my wedding there as well. Since Inoska left PPC I have had absolutely no contact with the other WC and that scares me. FI and I spent a couple weeks at PPC last April and its so gorgeous I am just a little worried about the sudden transitions taking place.

Good luck...I don't think you can go wrong!

We are having our reception there next Tuesday and I can't wait! I will post a review when I get back. The wedding planner (Mayte) has been absolutely wonderful to work with. I kind of love her and I have never met her! :) We debated having the ceremony there and I kind of still think about it, but our ceremony was included with our wedding package so we decided to keep it at the hotel.

Congratulations! That's exciting. I can't wait to read your review.
We have to still pay for the wedding, so it makes more sense to us to keep everything in one spot. i hope everything goes well. Mayte has been amazing so far with me as well. She must be so busy! Congrats again.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
