Mayan Palace Brides- Post Here!

Recommended Posts

For those getting married or already married at Mayan Palace PV, what menu did you choose? I wanted the chicken with goat cheese and dried tomato but FI don't want chicken or fish, so I received a suggestion from our WC ( prisar) to do a sushis and chicken taquitos at cocktail, then buffet ceviches and shrimp cocktails in different styles as appetizer, chicken, fish, shrimp and brochetas (skewers) to choose with different side dishes and crepes buffet for dessert.

Any one had this?

Hi Edna
We decided to do a Mexican Buffet. Since we are doing a buffet we are only doing chips and salsa during cocktail hour. Because I want my guest to eat a lot during the buffet. My good friend got married at the Mayan and did the buffet and her guest are still raving about the food!

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to revive this tread (the postings are a bit out-of-date). I am getting married, possibly at the Mayan, in October of 2011 and I would love to hear from anyone getting married there, or who have had their weddings there. Pls let me know as any info would be great. How's the area for Ceremony and Reception? How is the food? Is the sand a problem with the dance floor? Love to hear from you guys, Thanks.

Hi, Thanks for responding. How was it in your opinion to get married on the jetty? Too windy, Too noisy, Too small? Just curious. It looks great but I just want to make sure I got it covered. Also how is their food? Is the sand an issue wit the dance floor? or getting to and from the reception for the bathroom? Thanks again and a belated CONGrats!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
