Mayan Palace Brides- Post Here!

smile43.gif LOL Cant believe he recommended the outside WC !!! But you are pretty ahead on everything Amy , you just need your flowers and hair/make up...

Have Marco recommended someone for flowers? He should have someone... have you contacted Vodax? they have beautiful taste!!! And I think is the one that Prisar is usually having for their weddings, when I get back I can confirm that to you...

Regarding the reception, everything is covered and handled by Marco so ... just email him your list of requests and I don’t think we will have any trouble helping with that as long as it on the Mayan.... I say this because when I was not considering using an outside WC he told me he couldn’t help me with the Church...

Let me know what things do you want me to check on my site visit for you

I feel the same way.. The vendors info he gave me are vendors I've found on my own. He did say he used Vodox and another vendor, floreriamonet@yahoo.com.mx

When I asked him if he knew if I could rent chargers (plates) he gave me the contact info to trendycristal.com (which I already have), lol.

My make-up/hair.. I've saved info along the way but as a back up, 2 cousins do hair and make-up and have offered to do it so. I think all i need is flowers! I'm so excited!!!

So I emailed Marco and he recommended that I do hire an outside WC, huhhuh.gif

I was really shocked, I really don't want to pay $2000 for a one day WC. I wonder if I overwhelmed him with questions, lol!
Are you serious?!?!?!?!?!

That is very surprising to me. I would think most hotel WC's wouldn't necessarily want an outside WC "butting in"...

I know, that was my initial reaction. I really think I annoyed him, lol.. oh well, we are paying $2000 for our location fee which, in our contract states, includes the WC. So we're getting our money's worth!

No really, I guess I've been very detailed. (I've finally embraced the fact that I am a bridezilla). But you know what, I don't care. this is my one and only wedding (no AHR) and I want it to be nice/huge, lol!

Any who,

I have a list info on vendors. I'll post it all as soon as i get it onto an excel sheet.

Hey Girls,

Amy I think you got everything covered...you don't need a planner...I plan on delegating all my important tasks on the day of my wedding to my family and friends that I trust will do what I want them to do. That is how most people here in the states do weddings...they delegate. But if it makes you feel better...then get a wedding planner...you don't want to stress on the day of your wedding. I have already told my friends what I expect them to do at my wedding.

  • 3 weeks later...

I just got an email form Marco, he is leaving sad.gif He's heading to the Mayan Resort in Cabo (not sure which one).

I'm really sad, but I had a feeling this would happen since it seems so common.

This is the new conctact info he gave me, but contact him first before contacting Erika:

Érika Tovar, Asistente de Gerencia Teléfono: (322) 226 60 34,

Correo: Mayan Palace

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
