Wedding - Week of April 24, 2010

Hello Everyone,

I thought I would join the forum since my daughter is getting married the week of April 24, 2010 and I am helping her out.

Currently, we are just waiting to receive an email back from Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton on an available date for that week, with a late afternoon or evening time slot. We are keeping our fingers crossed. I hope we don't have to cross that one off our list too.

It is so frustrating trying to find a resort that is not too expensive to accomodate one of those dates during that week. Then, tyring to coordinate it with the TA to get the specials on all-inclusive packages which seem to expire rather quickly. If we go too high in price, no one will want to attend the wedding. We searched other resorts that had lower prices, but the reviews were not very good and we got scared off. My daughter really wants her close friends and family to attend. There are about 24 guests and maybe a few more. Some have already confirmed they are going and some are not sure yet.

Is this what it is like for all the soon to be brides?

Hopefully I will hear from you soon.

Cheerio,

Lolly

Thank you Bubbalu and future mrs2010 for the warm reception!

Anything for my little girl :-)

We have done tons of research on resorts, weddings, and pricing and just need to find the one that can accomodate us and lock it in. Timing is so important in having the resort get back to us with the date and time so we can coincide with the TA's AI packages before they expire. It is very frustrating and stressful so I decided to join the forum, hoping we can pick up some tips, help, advice, recommendations, etc.

While waiting on the GPLH for a time slot, the TA is checking prices for Sunset Grande Ochio Rios, but we I don't see many posts or feedback for that resort so now I am quite leery.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
