I tried a search but didn't find anything but I'm looking for some "easy reads" for the beach. I have a kindle and wanted to load it up before we leave (on Tuesday morning) and was reaching out to your girls for some good beach reads!

Any suggestions?! smile72.gif

I love the Phillippa Gregory books about Anne Boleyn & the Tudors (The Other Boleyn Girl, The Boleyn Inheritance, The Constant Princess, etc. etc). Great historical fiction -- very interesting, some history (so you learn something) and a dash of trashiness that I cannot resist!

I just read a ton of books that were amazing - not as much 'beach reads' as the Something Borrowed series - but amazing. I can only think of four of them right now. This is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Topper is at the top of the list. I don't know the authors for the rest but: Little Bee, The Help, and Hothouse Flower and the Nine Plants of Desire. I highly recommend all 4 books - but if I have to rank them, This is Where I Leave You and The Help were my favorites.

If he likes poker, what about Bringing Down the House - it's about card counting and blackjack. Michael Lewis also writes great 'man' books. He wrote Moneyball - about baseball scouting, The Blind Side which was just made into a movie with Sandra Bullock - about the evolution of the right tackle (football), Liars Poker about Lehman Brothers. He's a great author. My fiance also loves Michael Chabon - he writes fiction.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
