I am really in the dark on WHEN I need to order my dress. We are about 9 months away and I think I should be ordering it now but am not sure. I am having second thought about David's bridal so I may find a smaller place to go.

So my question is WHEN should I order my dress? Thanks!

well depends on where and what you buy. if you're buying somewhere like davids bridal or off the rack, you don't need as much time. if you're buying at a bridal salon where they have to order, i'd give yourself at least 6 mos. and don't forget to factor in a month or two for alterations.

I also bought mine at David's Bridal and I went home with it. I love my dress. What is your worry about David's?

If you have to have your dress ordered, I agree with Ann, they usually tell you 4 to 6 months, but it comes closer to the 6 month mark. And, alterations do take a while. So, I would say you should go within the next month or 2, if you are ordering one from a bridal salon, or online.

I just ordered mine last month and will be cutting it close, it will be in one month before my wedding, yikes! I would suggest not cutting it that close! The earlier the better I think, but I would give yourself at least 6 months.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
