bride2b10.....

I am not sure how you made the stamps for the invitations. There are a couple of options....if you are stamping them yourself, do not use the first image. Ink the stamp then stamp it on a scrap piece of paper. Then turn the stamp towards you and breath on it (I know this sounds dumb) - it will bring out the ink - then stamp it again on scrap paper. You can do this a few times till you get a faded look you like. Then remember which impression you liked and just repeat this step each time. There is a fancy word for it, but I am drawing a blank. Depending on the colour of ink you are using (and this works best on a regular ink, not a pigment ink) you should be able to get at least 3-4 images before you have to re-ink your stamp.

LOL....sorry the scrapbooker in me assumed that was what you were using! I am not sure which image you are using, but I do know under free dingbats on the internet you can get passport stamps and they come in various degrees of distressed and faded looks. We used them on another project, but I do not remember where the exact address is. The only other suggestion I have would be to try putting them in a word doc and then changing the gray scale.....sorry I can't help more.

I have spent a couple days playing when I was on here and cannot find them again! Sorry!

Have you tried scanning one you have already in your book or someone else's and then trying to lighten it?

I know this is quite an old post, but I thought I would add to it for others looking for stamp ideas. There are many different "stamp" fonts on dafont.com

Here are a few that I have used. Just download them, install them, and you will find them in word & ppt. Hope this can help some of you ladies out!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
