Wedding Dress HELP!!!

Recommended Posts

Hey girls! I am having the hardest time trying to find a store/boutique for my wedding dress! I am hoping to find a dress under $1,000 and I am in the Dallas, TX area. I'm thinking A-line, empire waist, mostly chiffon; somewhere along those lines. If anyone has any helpful websites, locations, etc. its would be GREATLY appreciated. Also, I would love to see everyones DW dresses :)

Thanks a ton!!!

I don’t know if getting a used wedding dress is an option for you but I found this site today actually while I was looking for online wedding vendors (Preownedweddingdresses.com) it’s a pretty cool site. I’m sure you probably already know about David’s Bridal to me they have some pretty awesome dresses my niece who just got married last sat found an amazing dresses there for only $100 (it was marked down) and honestly if she wouldn’t have told me how much the dress was I would have thought that she spent a lot more on it. Happy dress hunting its fun! I just started.

I've shopped at several bridal shops in the Atlanta area that had dresses under $1,000. In fact, mine only cost around $700 brand new (Maggie Soterro - Carrie). The Maggie Soterro line has several designs less than $1,000. Mori Lee is also a reaonably priced line. It really depends on which designer you choose and if you are shopping at a high-end bridal shop.

Try this website http://weddings.theknot.com/weddingd...spx?gowntype=1

I found recommended bridal shops in my area using the "local resources" search on www.theknot.com.

hello to another DFW bride! :) I bought my dress at David's Bridal--they had some gorgeous chiffon dresses, which is what I was looking for! Also, check out Bridal Co (north of Denton). They usually run specials, so dresses are reasonably priced. You can check out their website online first to see if you like any of the dresses before making the drive up there. Hope this helps, and good luck!

Hi,

I am also in Dallas and I went to David's Bridal, Alfred Angelo, Bridal Boutique (in Lewisville), and Lulu's. I only tried on dresses that were under $1,000 and I tried on a lot of dresses. Lulu's did not have much of a selection under a thousand. I wold up getting mine at Bridal Boutique and was very happy with their selection.

Hope this helps.

David's Bridal has some nice mark-downs. Not sure what kind of style you are in to but I looked at a few dresses that followed your description. Here are the links:

This one is $249.99 (marked down from $399):

David's Bridal - Chiffon A-line gown with V-notch neckline and brooch at waist.

This one is $299.99 (a 50% off markdown from $600). It's not chiffon, it's chermuese, but a one-shoulder, a-line, w/ empire waist...

David's Bridal - One shoulder charmeuse slim A-line.

This one is $449.99 (down from $700). Not sure if you're in to lace & beading, though...

David's Bridal - Beaded lace tank, chiffon split front over charmeuse slim A-line.

This one is $249.99 (from $399) and is a sweetheart halter w/ empire waist & sweep train...

David's Bridal - Sweetheart halter A-line with beaded crochet lace.

And here are 2 more...

This one is $299.99:

David's Bridal - Chiffon empire A-line gown with pleated bust.

And this one is $299.99:

David's Bridal - Crinkle Chiffon A-Line Halter with pleated neckline and crisscross waist detail.

This is only one store, so can kind of show you it's definitely possible to find something your looking for to work with your budget. And if you manage to find something so far under your budget, you can always consider "splurging" a bit more on accessories wink.gif Good luck & let us know what you find/choose!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
