Cigar Bar for the groom - Cancun Wedding?

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies,

I know some of you are probably dead set against this idea but I wanted to do something that my fiancee would enjoy. He isn't a big fan of sweets so the groom cake can't wont work out too well. I am really interested in setting up a Cigar bar for him and over course others to enjoy if interested. Has anyone done this or have some informationhuh.gif Anything would be helpful! THANKS!

I'm going to have a cigar bar at my wedding also :) I just haven't really looked into it yet because I've been working on other wedding stuff. I heard you only have to pay for the cigars (not the cigar roller's time). I'm going to ask my WC if she has any recommendations/references.

BTW - I'm getting married the same day you are! April 23, 2010 :)

There was a thread on here where a girl did a cigar bar. I tried to find it, but I think the link has been disabled. Have you asked your resort about it? I think it is a great idea!!!! My FI would love that. Let us know if you find anything out. I am sure they offer that through Moon Palace. I am getting married at Le Blanc, which is MP's sister resort, so I will see what I can find out.

I'm getting married at the Catholic chapel inside Gran Caribe Real but I'm having an outdoor reception at Le Meridien. I'm going to ask my WC at Le Meridien because she's been so helpful thusfar that I know she'll be able to help me out with this. I'm also going down to Cancun in the next month so hopefully I can find someone during my trip. I'll let you know what I find out. My fiance is SO excited about this idea! I know all the guys will love it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
