Tying on another woman's engagement ring?

Recommended Posts

Ladies,

I need some opinions on this please. A male co-worker just recently got engaged. He is friendly with a number of us women in the office and we all eat lunch together. Today, he had his FI engagement ring because he was taking it to get sized. Some of the women not only looked at it but tried it on! Isn't it bad luck to try on another woman's engagement ring? How would you feel if your FI let another woman try on your ring?

I honestly would be bothered by that. Not that its bad luck, but that is my ring, no one should be trying that on unless I tell them its okay. Now people have tried my ring on, but that is because I let them. I hope his FI doesn't find out about that, cause I can see that bothering her for sure. Not because of bad luck, but because its her ring.

I am pretty of of the girls in my FI's office tried mine on. She is a friend of ours, so I don't care. And I offer it to all of my friends to try on, because i had been trying on everyone's for years!! And it was never bad luck for them or for me. At the end of the day, if the relationship is strong the wedding will happen and the marriage will last right? Some are superstitious and I am not that way at all. My friends LOVE trying on my ring and they fight over it.

Me either... I remember my old boss male "total tackless idiot" pulled my ring off my finger and held it up to the light saying "this is a friggin rock".... yup my boss!!! No longer... Hated him

However my gfriends pull it off me time to time, "gently" and put it on... they love it... doesn't bother me at all... Boss issue was weird, that was uncomfortable... again ex boss...lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
