How do you go about buying a veil??

Recommended Posts

I'm a little confused...

I have the dress, and I want a veil (honestly, when else are you going to get to wear a veil??) but I don't have any idea how to shop for one... How will I know if it will look good with the dress? I don't want to take my dress shopping with me, and I don't know what I'm doing with my hair yet. I don't plan on wearing the veil for anything except the ceremony and some pictures, so I also want either little clips or a hair flower.

But how in the world do you shop for a veil??

Sorry if this has already been posted - I checked, but didn't see anything.

Well I think it kinda depends on what kind of veil you want - I think there are some that go good with pretty much all dresses.

I would just go to bridal shops and try on a bunch then see if you like a certain kind. Also what kind a veil you like might help you decide on your hair-do. Maybe bring a photo of your dress to show the sales ladies for advice on how to match your dress. Good luck!

Where did you buy your dress? They should have veils there for you to try. If not, the suggestions from the other ladies work too. I just ordered my veil from the bridal shop I got my dress at. They knew which dress I had picked and so recommended one that matched perfectly. It was a 2 tier (1 short tier and 1 cathedral length tier) and the cathedral length portion was attached by hidden velcro so you could remove it and just have the short veil for part of the evening afterwards!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
