ROR Wedding Packages & # of Guests Attending

Recommended Posts

Hi,

We have 35 adults (including us) and 7 children/1 teen attending our wedding at ROR in January 2010. - Brings us to 43 people. Originally we were thinking of going with the Caprice Package, but that was back in 2009 when pictures were included with the package (they aren't anymore). So, based on the info below, does this mean we have to go with the Caprice Package anyways? Are children "counted"...

  • The free package is only available for a maximum of 20 guests...is this true?

  • The Classic Wedding Package is for a maximum of 10 guests...

  • The Royal Package is for a maximum of 40 wedding guests

  • The Caprice Package is for a maximum of 60 guests

Also, we are having our ceremony at the beach gazebo. Does anyone know what the chairs look like there? Are they white, do they come with seat covers? I am debating buying some fabric to make the sashes...but if the seats are wicker I probably won't bother.

Thanks!

We had about 37 in our group & had the free package. In terms of picking a package, I think you would have to look at which best fits your needs & budget. I had originally chosen the Royal package but once I decided to bring my own photographer, having photo's included in the package was not a priority. Also the other amenities such as spa services & an upgraded room were not necessary since we booked the suite.

We saved money by bookint the free package & then added any decor/upgrades separately.

As for the chairs, in pictures they look brown/wooden/wicker but they are plastic. They do not come with covers but you can rent them. Last year they were $10 per cover & that included the sashes. They may not be the same price this year so if you're interested you should ask Chandlyn. Also keep in mind that the same chairs used at your ceremony would be used at your reception as well.

Hi!

Here is a picture of our Beach Gazebo ceremony on 10/10/09. We brought our own chair ties. We had the "Free" Wedding package with no upgrades to decor (as you can see it is VERY minimal, but we wanted the beach to be the "star").

When you do the free package and you have more than 20 people, do they charge you extra for the dinner for the people above 20?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
