I was just there in August visiting with the GM and checking out the wedding areas, reception areas and rooms! Beautiful gardens to have pics done in as well as on the beach! There are a lot of different places to have a wedding and also the reception!

It's a great beach property very active ! There are some rooms that are set away from the active areas so if your, guests prefer a bit quieter have your TA find out which rooms those are!

They just completely refinished the pool there- from the pics I've seen it looks great!

Thanks! I was started to get scared Trip Advisor freaked me out! I know the airport is right there and that is not a concern of mine. The party thing is not bad to me its kinda why we chose that resort. Do you know even though it says no tipping are you supose to tip for better service?

Nope- no tipping excpt if you have a butler!

It is a resort where you want your TA to be familiar with the room categories- there are some that need refurbishment ( Sandals is working on it) or have lousy placement- those are the guests that write the bad reviews as they are unhappy with their accommodations!

Well sometimes things kinda stink we have had our TA for almost a year and had things booked for 6 months I am not a huge traveler so I did not know what to do! We are staying in the Honeymoon Penthouse waterfront concierge level is that good? Most of our guest are in the cheap rooms in the sea grapes building and some are in the Almonds building is what I think it is? My mom and sister are also handi cap is there anything we can do for them or rooms we should recomend. I know you are not my TA just looking for some advice! Sorry if this over steps anything...

Also do you know do you have a rehearsal or anything or how do you know what to do?

Hi MSKimmy!

You'll be fine in your room- these were refurbished and look nice, Plus you'll have a really big balcony! These are located in teh quieter area of the resort-have a great ocean view and there is a really nice patio /gazebo area where peopel get married right nearby and sme of the rooms over look it!

I don't have my sheet right here but I believe there were only a few handicap rooms available and they should have been booked in that room type ( that's of course depending on their individiual needs and handicaps). Definately have your TA look ino this to be sure that they have what they need!

No rehearsal but the Wc will go over the details when you meet with them - you'll choose your location, times that they will pick you up for the wedding and will guide you through the process!

Have a great wedding!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
