FI ring - panic attack

Recommended Posts

i know, i tried not to laugh either - but is's kind of a cute image to think of a grown man having a panic attack over a ring! but when i thought about it more - i can totally see it. i get a little anxious when i can't get rings off too. be careful he doesn't get it so big that it's always falling off!

i was going to mention the tatoo thing too - either something like the other girls have mentioned (name, date, etc.) or just a cool design. another option would be to wear the ring on a chain around his neck.

Kate, I'm sorry that happened, but I think it's pretty funny that he's throwing it in your face already. That made me laugh, it sounds like my FH.

If it makes you feel any better, I got my FH's ring online, and when they sent it to me (last Friday and I leave on Wednesday), they had totally forgotten to engrave it. I was P-I-double S-E-D. I called them and they were like, "oh, well, sorry. Send it back to us after the wedding."

OK, I have to confess, that happened to me last night!

We were in the heat all day and then we flew home and I guess my finger just totally swelled. Plus, my band is thick and it's not smooth inside so it was just not coming off and my finger kept getting more and more swollen.

THEN, my DH started laughing the more panicky I got. That didn't help. When I said, "I need you to take this seriously and help me" he said, "I can't help it, you're just so CUTE when you get kinda helpless."

That cute comment really didn't help me - I didn't respond well. I actually took a bit of skin off my knuckle, but finally got it off. UGH - he took responsibility for figuring out how to deal with my ring (maybe hollow it out a bit or something) so that we don't repeat what I'm now calling "the ring incident".

It makes me feel better to know he's not the only one - thanks Natasha. He took some skin off too! It didn't help that his ring is titanium and he kept saying "isn't this the ring that can't be cut off?" I had to laugh.

The 8.5 should work. He tried on a 9 and it was too big.

The only good thing is that the ring was super cheap so if it's too big and he loses it we can just buy another.

omg- I can totally relate. I don't freak out, but I figgit (sp??) a lot with my ring. I constantly take it off and put it on. My hands swell with the hear or when I drink. (the night we got engaged, we had some drinks and my ring was sooo tight!) Any hoo, I def feel that way when my hands swell up really bad, I fell like i NEED to take if off ASAP!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
