I was so excited to get the postcard in the mail saying my dress was in 2 months early! My mom and I went in to try it on and get the alterations ball rolling. I put the dress on only to be horrified by what I was seeing! The dress was a complete mess!! My dress has dozens of pleats that are at different angles all over the front. We first noticed a spot where the pleat was popping up and revealing a seam below. They tried steaming it but it didn't help. Then we noticed another seam showing on the lower part of the dress. Finally I noticed the whole right side of the dress was completely wrong!! When I tried on the sample it was so sleek and smooth to my hips and for some reason the right side popped up a good inch off my hip. We had to go get the sample to figure out what was wrong! After conducting a search we noticed that my dress (which is 2 sizes smaller than the sample) had 4 extra pleats and the pleats on my dress were 2 inches longer than on the sample which created the poofing. Such a mess!

Luckily, the salon sent the dress along with the sample back to the designer so they can see what their manufacturer is sending out. They are making me a brand new dress except now it won't be in until mid-Dec and we leave the beginning of Jan for our DW. Such a pain! I'm not freaking out yet but I might be in 2 months.

Has anyone else had dress drama?

I'm sorry about your troubles. That's really good that they're working with you well to get it all sorted out though. I hope everything turns out alright in December!

Don't worry I'd be worried too but I think it will all turn out fine...how long did it take for your dress to come in the first time? I am hoping your 2nd experience of getting your dress in to try on will be a more positive one. Best of luck to you & don't forget to post pics if you already haven't done so wink.gif

    • The cooking method can double the calorie content of a meal, so learn about healthy cooking without having to add extra fats, like using a steamer,  a rotisserie , a slow cooker , a pressure cooker, a grill. Once you cook your own meals, you can control the calorie content because your control the cooking method and all the ingredients. A lot of people are overweight because they keep eating food that they did not cook.
    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
    • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
