Many of the resorts will give you a room the night prior to your wedding for your Fiance, if they have availability. So if that is something you want, I would check with the resort to see if its available free of charge. My resort provides it with my wedding pkg, not sure if all resorts do this though.

Riley and I just spoke about this last night actually, and we decided that we were going to stay in the room together the night before the wedding. I think the main reason for that is bc we arent having a "traditional" wedding. Our wedding is going to be somewhat informal with a few traditions involved. I have been married once before and did the whole " spend your last night single alone" and it sucked. I couldnt sleep bc he wasnt there, let alone bc the wedding was the next day. I want to be with RIley the night before our wedding bc I feel that I want to be that close to him. We will separate in the morning and Im sure he will go to his BM's room to get ready while I get ready in our room. If your worried about where the BM's date is going to be, tell them to send her to your room to get ready or to a friends room. It will work itself out. I wouldnt worry about it. Your room will be jam packed with women trying to get ready themselves as well as helping you too.
In the end, just do what you want to do. If you want the tradition of not seeing eachother until the wedding ceremony, then see how that can be accomodated by the hotel. If you dont want to be apart until the morning, then dont. In the end its your day and whatever the two of you want, then that is what you should do. I really dont think in this day in age, there is really any ettiquette on what you can and cant do anymore. Unless of course, your religion (if any) dictates so, or family values or morals, of course. DW's allow us to be flexible, if we wanted the fully traditional wedding then we wouldnt be getting married abroad. DW's are all about making your wedding day exactly what you want and how you want them with minimal planning, atleast in comparison to at home weddings.
Have fun and go with your heart tells you. I find that always leads me down the right road.
Good luck!

haha, my fiance and I disagree about this one. He wants to be traditional and stay somewhere else, and I know I won't sleep a lick between being all excited and it'll be even worse if he's not with me. We'll be sleeping together and parting ways after we wake up. I just need to inform him of this :)

I can't picture myself losing that night with my FI either! I really think I will want to hold him tight and have it just be the two of us! Then we can wake up first thing and he can go to his BM's room and all the girls can come to me!

Another thing I'm worried about is that I'm going to have too many girls and too much chaos in my room all morning and I have a feeling there may be a point where I want to just look out the window, drink my mimosa and be calm. My BM's and friends are pretty crazy and loud and I have a feeling I may be wanting to kick them all out at some point!

I discussed this with my FI and he wants to stay together and I want to stay apart. I think it will be more exciting when I see him at the ceremony. Plus, my sister is my MOH so I will ask her to stay with me and he will have her room since she is single. It all works out. But, I will check with the resort to see if they offer a "Groom Room" for the night before for free, if they do then I can kick him into that room for the night. ;-) Hee Hee!!

But, yes I agree with the other girls, go with your heart on how you feel. Neither way is wrong or right!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
