My FI and I don't know where he should sleep the night before our wedding. One part of us thinks that we should just stay together in our own room at the resort and then go our separate ways the morning of the wedding (We have lived together for almost 9 years.) The other part of us thinks that we should be somewhat traditional and have him sleep elsewhere. The only problem is that all of our guests are couples, so who would he stay with?
I am curious as to what everyone else is doing.......please fill me in!

Ya, we are going around and around about this as well. I suggested that my FI stay with his brother in law and his sister can come into my room, but I'm sure his sister and BIL have ONE bed, and I'm sure my FI doesn't want to sleep in that bed with another dude! So, I'm not sure. I think I will just think about it once we get there.

My husband spent the night in a friends room. My hotel also offered if there was an empty room that he could sleep there. Double check with your resort and see if they give you this option. I'm glad that I spent the night before with a few of my friends it was great.

His parents offered to let him stay in their room the night before, but FI says he doesn't believe in that superstition. I think we may just be untraditional and stay together the night before.

We aren't sure yet but he will be staying with either his cousin or friend. Then I am having some bridesmaids over to my room!

would it be really bad if we stayed the night together, but then went our separate ways right in the morning

I think it would be kinda fun to be separate the night before, it adds to the excitement! The lady at our hotel asked if we needed special arrangements for the day before because it is a Mexican custom not to see each other at all. I don't think we will take it that far but maybe do some separate guy/girl group stuff

No, I don't think it'd be bad at all. But I'm biased as that is what we are doing lol.

I don't really see the point in splitting up the night before the wedding. :P

I think we will probably stay together and then go our separate ways in the morning. We aren't having wedding parties, so I would hate to split up one of our couple friends and have them lose a night together in Mexico.
Thanks for all of the ideas!

My fiance and I have been together for over eight and a half years and we have been living together for a long time. We never even consider spending the night before separately and taking the chance of not having a good night sleep from sharing a room with someone else. Keeping things simple!
