I'm in Ville Saint-Laurent. I grew up in New Brunswick but moved to Montreal to be with my now fiancé. :) We just bought a condo and I'm finally starting to feel at home here. I love it more everyday!

I'm in the west island,so we're pretty close! you must have bought a place DH and i like to call 'condo village' lol. Real nice there. Congrats on the big move and big buy (we're currently in the process of buying a home now, big thing!!)

Have anyone to show you around, and where all the amazing wedding stores are?!

lol, true enough, it's a little village of it's own here! wink.gif

Well, let's I went to Ami-Fer on St-Hubert for a bridesmaid dress for my friend's wedding this July... and got the worst customer service ever, twice!! I also went there for my first-time wedding dress shopping... it was alright, but didn't find my dress. I ended up buying it at Creation Vezina in Laval. Other than that, I haven't done much wedding shopping yet!!

We just officially booked the resort last week, so I'm in the process of hiring the photographer, videographer, DJ, makeup artist and hair stylist... plus asking about a gazillion question to the wedding coordinator at the resort, hahaha, no time for shopping! I'll probably get into it more in the coming weeks. Any stores to suggest?

Hi!!!

I say stay away from ami-fer!!! worse service EVER a dozen different times from my experience.

I bought my dress in St-Dorothee, it's a store that only sells bridal gowns. Very professional.....trying to think of the name...... I'll get back to you I'll go look for it!!

Do you u have an idea of what you want, or what designer?

WHat I did was went on to a website from T.O that has mostly all of the designers...went through them all, so when I went to a store I knew what I wanted to try on. Which help me find a store that sold that designer (not all stores carry all designers)

Hey!
That's where I bought my dress! :)

At first, I got really bad service... I brought pictures with me, I had the name of the designer I liked, I had already tried no dresses at Ami-Fer so I knew what I liked and didn't like... and the poor girl just wasn't getting it. She was getting frustrated because every single dress she brought me, I didn't like. Well hello, just look at the pictures I gave you!!!! Anyway...

So we moved to ''Le Loft'', it's their store next door where they sell the past year's dresses and they had exactly what I was looking for. The girls there were AMAZING! I looooooved my experience and I left with the dress of my dreams :) I posted a picture on it in the ''Post your wedding dress'' thread.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
