Thanks so much for your help, girls!! I love this thread!! For the boudoir shoot, I ended up booking with a photographer in Ottawa. The shoot is in late May. I hope the civil thing works out! Thanks for the info! Do you have to go to the courthouse? Where does all of this take place? I wish everything was straightforward and simple! lol

Got my China dress today. A bit disappointed since it's at least an inch too big, and the front is not exactly looking how it should. Can't really send it back since I'm a month out. The front issue DBF could easily fix, but not the rest. Anyone knows a good seamstress in the area? French or English is not a problem, general Montreal area.

Thanks girls! (feeling a bit down tonight...)

Aww me too I am so sorry your dress didn't come out.
I have the seamstress who took in my size 12 dress to a 4, and she did an amazing job and it was under $100.
Do you mind it's in the west island? she works real fast too lol.
I can pm you her # and name and you can give her a call to arrange an appointment.
Just let me know.

Thanks for the support! My BF is trying to cheer me up, he is much less concerned about money than I am, and would still marry me dressed with a potato sack! LOL

I found someone in Laval that I will call tomorrow (YellowPages) to have an idea, but an actual reference is reassuring.

Caribbeanlover, you are quite the shopper! Cheap prices for a boudoir shot, for dress alterations, wow! Please PM me her contact info, I do not mind going to Mars at this point! (Well, maybe not but the west island is only 30 minutes away)

also if you girls ever decide you want to do a boudoir session, and want to only pay $75 and don't have a problem driving 45-1 hour to cornwall, I can give you the photographer's info, she did an amazing job on mine on Wednesday, so excited to get the pics.

I also was able to do my hair and make up down there for $75 and she did a stunning job, made me look like a model!!!

Not to much, guess it's why it's so cheap
The motel room, her time for 30 mins and a cd of all the pictures she takes. She said she doesn't touch them up when she gives you the price, but she does, she'll be touching some up for me.
If you want to go with her, and want pictures touched up, I know a girl who can do that for less then $20 (for all pics)
so you print your pictures at the cheapest place, and make your own book, or can go to walmart and make a calander out of it (not sure I want to do that, since people wil see them, worried someone will keep some for their personally use, yuck lol)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
